Fees and Costs
The Christie Centre is recognised as an accredited provider of disability services and is minimally subsidised by the Federal Government. There is a gap in costs and therefore users are charged a service fee.
Current full time fees are $1,200.00 per year for people accessing a state-funded service. If you are part-time you pay pro-rata charges based on days of attendance. Fees may be paid annually or quarterly or fortnightly via Centrepay through an arrangement with Centrelink when an agreed deduction is paid by direct debit.
- People with a disability attending our employment service DO NOT pay fees
- People can apply to Centrelink for a mobility allowance if they attend more than 8 hours per week
- People can apply to Centrelink for an Education Allowance for any tertiary training
With the rollout of the NDIS users will be individually invoiced for services/supports. This will be on a regular basis which users can nominate to self manage, have a 3rd party manage or the NDIS. More information is available on the NDIS homepage.
