growAbility participants learn how to propagate native plants, succulents, vegetables/herbs and hedge plants. The group then sell their plants and produce. Private and community gardens have recently made purchases. It’s also envisaged that restaurants and individuals will also be able to access herbs and other produce. Some growAbility participants complete a modified Certificate II in Horticulture through SuniTAFE. All participants learn Occupational Health and Safety, irrigation, fertilising and how to use gardening hand tools.
